From the recent “2013 Trustwave Global Security Report” there is mixed news on the spam front.  First the good news – As a percentage of all inbound email spam has decreased 17.4% since 2008.

Now for the bad news – while the overall volume of spam has decreased the amount of malicious spam has increased specifically in the area of emails containing malicious executable attachments.
